The Project Engineer is responsible for supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of engineering and construction projects. Ensures compliance with engineering standards, codes, and project specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Must be good in decision making in the absence of immediate superior and must be able to communicate well with the consultant / inspector at site
Perform the task assigned well ahead of schedule but does not sacrifice the quality of work
Always practice and explain safety/safekeeping procedures at the site
Always review the approved plans and specs before going to the site
Overall supervision of field activities and conducts tool box meetings to address problems within your subordinates
Prepare schedule of activities (bar chart), list of equipment for each activity, daily activity report, weekly work projection with corresponding equipment and manpower and check all materials and equipment available at the site
Update daily schedule and see to it that it is being followed including the approved methodology. If there are changes, prepare the method of change and submit to Main Office for review and approval
Assist in ensure continuous promotion of Quality Health and Safety and environmental awareness and implementation within the project site
Monitor the set objectives and ensure that they are attained with desired efficiency
Qualifications
Must be a licensed civil engineer
Minimum experience of 5 years
Advantage: DPWH accreditation
Knowledgeable on plans/drawings and specifications, program of work which includes planning, costing, problem solving, and decision-making
Must have an expertise in the utilization of heavy and light equipment that will produce a positive result in the cost
With strong leadership skills & organizational ability
With good communication skills, oral & written
Can produce methodology for the project with minimum cost that will meet specifications and quality
